Human Rights Activist reveals heinous violations of the right of abductees in the Brotherhood prisons in Shabwa

Alsharik  stated, in a press statement, seen by "NewsYemen", that many of the abductees in the prisons of the Brotherhood authorities in Shabwa are subjected to daily forms of torture, in addition to ill and degrading treatment.

He said that, "during his contact with one of the recently released detainees, he told him about the daily torture of the kidnappers in the Brotherhood s prisons, pointing out that among those who are subjected to torture is the detainee, Ahmed bin Saree Al-Hilali." 

The head of the Monitor for Human Rights added: “Among some of the methods of torture he mentioned is placing the detainee inside (the pressure), where he is placed in a narrow place under the prison ladder, so that the detainee cannot move while on his back, but defecate, urinate, sleep and eat in  The same place.

He continued, "He also told me about the kidnapped student (Mohsen Al-Jahuri Al-Yafei), one of the students of the Oil College in Shabwa, who is forbidden to visit, and the Brotherhood authorities refuse to refer him for criminal investigation."

He pointed out that "Ahmed Nasser Qardaa bin Saree Al-Hilali" is still languishing in the notorious "Martyrs Camp" prison, which is an illegal prison that the Brotherhood authorities have created in Shabwa governorate.

Al-Shureik emphasized that the Brotherhood authorities practice violations in Shabwa that amount to war crimes against humanity, including murder, kidnapping, illegal detention, torture and enforced disappearance.
